Jeremy and Karen have sent out a reminder to everyone abou the “Ice Breaker” Party. From Jeremy: "We will begin our third season by inviting you to our annual ice-breaker party on March 24, 2010 at Mac’s Time Out Lounge, located at 315 Belle Street in downtown Alton. We will start at 6:30 P.M. We have some updates to discuss and will be serving beverages, food, stories, smiles and margaritas (maybe not exactly in that order). We look forward to seeing all of you there! Please RSVP to let us know that you are coming, so that we can have enough of everything on hand!" A group of slipholders are planning a trip to the Arch. We are having a meeting to go over the details of the trip on Saturday evening at 8:00 PM by the pool on the deck by the bathrooms. We have talked to the Lockmasters at both lock and dams and the coast guard at the St. Louis River Front. The St. Louis River Front will be closed to boats starting at 4:00 PM due to all the events downtown relating to the All Star Game. If you know of anyone who is thinking about going please tell them to sign below. There is no cost for this trip except your gas for your boat. The total mileage to the Arch is 20 miles one way. If you would like to go but do not want to drive your own boat you can sign up and put that information down when you sign up on line. We will try to get you on someone's boat who has room. We will have someone to take your photo of you on your boat with the Arch in the background. This will be a good experience for those people who have never gone through a lock and dam. Please plan to attend the meeting on Saturday for important information. |
